Dislikes: speaking, being cornered (near phobia level in some cases), revealing too much about themselves, ‘meat bearing’ undead or facsimiles thereof, alleyways, dark areas, being alone, people looking over their shoulder while they draw.

Personality: Calais is a typically quiet, almost distant person, rarely if ever speaking and often doing so quietly. Despite this, they are rarely found alone, often people watching while doodling in their sketchbook. Calais is not one to show much emotion other than snide sarcasm at first, but once they get comfortable around a person, Calais will open up more emotion wise.

Calais avoids dark alleys like the plague, and numerous doodles in their book expresses a deep seeded fear of being trapped, cornered, and consumed. If asked about this, though, Calais will avoid the subject, often just glancing to the side or even outright walking away. Seems it’s a sensitive subject…

On Gender: (Or, more appropriately, Sex) Calais is female, but because of past events, she hides it as if it were an evil mark or something. Despite this, she does feel attraction to the male sex, though, again, she hides this well, and even ignores it most times.

History: Calais was the younger child of a passionate but not well off artist and a storeowner. Early on, Calais, around four at the time, and her elder brother were separated from their parents, and were unable to find them again. Because of this, Calais always considers her elder brother to be her major parental figure, though there was a sibling relationship as well.

After the separation, Calais and her brother lived life as urchins; Calais often using cute looks to acquire handouts while the older brother did ‘the dirty work’, thieving and such. And so, life continued like this for several years, the two eventually becoming a formidable team. However, all good things, it seems, must come to an end.

When Calais was 13, her brother and her were traveling in the dark alleys of Traverse Town. They were, at that time, new to the area (having hitchhiked from their native Twilight Town due to being chased out by cranky store owners) and did not know that, even here, heartless lurked in the shadows. The two were ambushed, and Calais was cornered. In that moment, Calais’ brother distracted the heartless by calling out to them and presenting a target and Calais witnessed with her own eyes her brother being consumed by the darkness. After that, she fled, running away as fast as she could and never looking back.

That night, she had a peculiar dream...

In the morning, Calais went back to the place her brother had been taken in hopes of finding him, but instead found the heartless that had taken him. Once again she found herself cornered. That's when her Keyblade manifested, and taking it in hand, she lashed out and managed to fend off the heartless long enough to flee.
